About Me

***************INFO*FOR*SURFERS***************

please read the whole profile and sent a personal request.

I just moved in with my partner and I will adjust this profile to shared one soon. We will host together and we travel together a lot as well. Soon you find more information to her as well. :)

I am a pretty busy bee - so chances are high I need to decline your request but once in a while my schedule gives me space and I love to host then!

*****************************************************

You can call me Tamara or Tami whatever feels better to you :)

I am an easy going person, sometimes loud and sometimes quite, in love with nature, music and human beings.
The simplest things can make me smile; and talking nonsense is as refreshing to me as debating philosophy.

Since I really like the sensation of living, I try to extend my time by experiencing a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I come from a native-couchsurfing-family. My Mom started inviting chouchsurfers in 2009, and I learned that it is a perfect way to help and to have a tiny piece of individual culture in your home.

When my parents were younger they traveled the world for 16 month and stayed with locals (there was no internet). They're good role models :)

Biggest interest are humans, Lately I've been giving my creativity more room - learning some dances, painting, writing poetry and writing songs. I am happy to share.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.
If you can play an instrument you already have a place in my heart. There are very few things that make me feel as good as a person that plays music.
I make a new playlist every month with new and old music. Sooo looking at one of them right now, there is: RAYE, Lumineers, Naïka, Tate McRae, Paula Hartmann, Tom Misch, Queen, Mac Miller, Kaytranada, Finneas, Khalid, UMI, Vance Joy, Lauryn Hill, FKJ and so on

Books.
I read a lot of non fiction, more educational books. I use books to learn about topics that intrest me. They usually concern societal issues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- surviving a cyclon
- Interviewing my 90-year-old grandfather and building a true friendship with him
- giving a seminar on communicating about Taboos and Sex(uality)

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's just talk about all the goodies. Talk about life and what we do with it, love and hate, dreams and fears, talk about family and friends and happiness and sadness, about belief and doubt, the places we went and still need to go and the lessons we learned along the way. It's the most beautiful way to learn and teach.

I could talk about communication techniques and give insights about the research on uncomfortable topics (taboos)

I would love to learn some chinese, random facts, good recipes, aaand of course: everything about your city, your home, your way of living.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like the CS spirit of just enjoying each others company and experiencing trust and connection.
So I offer my time, my compassion, my thoughts, my attention and my help around your place.
For example: I can cook! Just tell me what you would like to eat, I buy the groceries and prepare a meal for us.
I can also help with chores or with my words.

I rarely buy random gifts, I rather give food or drinks, or my help. Please feel free to tell me what fits your schedule and what you would enjoy.

Also I could entertain you with some music. I can play a few basic chords on the ukulele and I sing.
