ABOUT ME

I think people should have fun in their life, so fun I have! :) I love meeting (new) people to chat with or to go out for a drink or party!! I am an open minded and easy going person. I love to gain inside information from locals but I am also very good in exploring things on my own! ;-)
During my PhD I wass lucky to go places. At this moment I am trying to finish my PhD.

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is 'Enjoy life as much as possible!'. To be able to enjoy I am relaxed and explorative. When I am in a new place I want to explore as much as possible to make the most of it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think couchsurfing is a brilliant idea for meeting new people! A friend of mine introduced me to this world, and I enjoyed it very much. So, I decided to register.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed some couches in Europe and Australia and I have hosted some surfeRs. All great experiences!

Interests

I have a lot of interests. I am curious for new things and excited to learn. I love going out with friends for a drink or a dance. I play volleybal, both indoor and on the beach. I decided to quit playing competition but I like it so much that I still participate in a recreational team. This year I started cycling with a road bike and I found out that I really love doing this. I am part of a cycling team with only males but I must say I can pretty much keep up with them!
I am crazy about animals! I have two horses of my own which I ride a few times a week. At home we have two cats that are adorable.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music and dancing. There is not a particular kind of music I like, but when I go out I like it to be a bit up tempo. Music I really don't like is Dutch music!
I am not much of a book reader. When reading books I prefer them to be educational.
I like all kinds of movies, from a good comedy to horror.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The environment and its animals are the two things that interest me most when I go somewhere. When I was in Egypt it was a great experience to see the desert, the tombs and the Red sea coral reef and its beautiful fish. Now I am in Australia and I already found it a great experience touching kangaroos and koalas. So I am really excited to see more of Australia!
