About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I wish to see the world from it´s less touristy sides, and hopefully meet some amazing people on the way!
ABOUT ME
My friends would probably describe me as being asomewhat weird and unique(in the good way of course) but also easy-going and likeable person. And that is also how I want the world to see me. If everybody was the same, the world would be a really boring place to spend your life, so I do not want to be ordinary (us egyptologists rarely are anyway..)and I am not afraid of what people might think of me! I am who I am, and do not pretend to be somebody else!
I hate bimbos and wannabes(!), snow, racism, that the government tell me that smoking is not good for me(I already know that..), fashion, exercise, smart-whatever (phones, TVs you name it), babies crying hysterically on the bus, wine, the way the modern world is heading and people who think they own the land they live on (everybody should see Pocahontas!), hard wooden classroom-chairs and techno-music
I love and collect Disney classics(on VHS preferably), travelling, dancing, sunshine, knitting (I even have my own knitting-club!), being childish, "old lady" furniture, second hand stuff, ancient "dead" languages, beer, museums, the beach, audio-books, meeting new an interesting people, reading,60´s and 70´s music, and so on
I sometimes feel that I was born in the wrong time-period. Like I don´t quite belong in the modern world. Thus I constantly long for and seek the past, and studying the Ancient World is my life!
PHILOSOPHY
I try to live every day to the fullest, doing what I want to do, not what people or the society tell me I SHOULD want to be doing

Music, Movies, and Books
"Requiem for a Dream", "Elling", Disney Classics, animated movies, "Fight Club", "Lord of the Rings", Pirates of the Caribbean" and everything else with Johnny Depp ;)
I mainly listen to the great musicians of the 60´s and 70´s, like The Doors, Frank Zappa, Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Janice Joplin, Neil Young, The Beatles.. Also I love 90s music whenever partying! I do enjoy some more modern music as well, but generally not the popular music (unless I am at a disco)
I read almost everything, but especially everything by Erlend Lo(N), Gert Nygaardshaug (N) and Paolo Choelo. Also my grandfather, Erling Tambs, has written several books. He was an adventurer and a pioneer in travelling the world in small crappy boats, and have written several books about his experiences at sea. I would especially recommend "The Cruise of the Teddy" (by Erling Tambs), as well as his children's books
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh, this is a big question!!! Well I´ll mention a couple of them here, and I could tell you more if I see you.. :P
The greatest experience of my life was being part of an archaeological Field School in Jarash, Jordan, in 2010. Here me and my class mates got to work as actual archaeologists for 1 month, which was definitely a dream come true for me! Later on I have been lucky to become involved in three different archaeological projects, one in Egypt and two in Jordan, resulting in me getting sand under my nails during field experience as well as doing less Indiana-Jones-ish post-excavational work back in Denmark
Also everything I have seen and experienced while in Egypt has beenamazing. Especially when I lived at a friends house in Cairo, and got to see the capital from a non-tourist point-of-view
Countries I’ve Visited
Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Norway, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
