Hi! I'm Tamires and I love traveling and recording my travels in my sketchbook. Meeting new people is a challenge for me so I took it upon myself to be more open and to travel more. For me, the best part of traveling is feeling out the city and its public spaces, people and culture. I am anosmic by birth (I have no sense of smell) but I am really OK with you telling me if I need extra perfume. I tend to like being organised and I have the utmost respect for people's privacy and I am totally OK with you explaining the rules of your home to me and me obeying them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Lately I've been traveling mostly for illustration/design conventions, but I plan to do some more leisure traveling. When I'm going to conventions, I usually stay all day on them and just come back home to crash in someone's couch. I am a student so paying for hotels can be very expensive for me, plus I really want to meet new people and make friends, which makes Couchsurfing perfect.

Interests

Painting, listening to music, talking about politics, nature, the future, education, anything. I love a good talk. Playing video games, reading books and comics. I can be very geeky.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love listening to: Daft Punk, Lady Gaga, soundtracks from movies and games, Metallica, Motorhead... I am very ecletic.

Movies: Lord of the Rings, all Marvel and DC movies and TV shows, artsy movies like Pina. ALL Disney movies (and yes, I do sing along). Some action movies I find really interesting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I managed to wake up every day at 5:30 AM with no alarm clocks for a whole year.

Oh, and I did climb up the Etna volcanoe. Don't know if that counts. =)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can (and love to) draw! I can share the experience of not being a pain-in-the-butt-type of host. I can share stories (and sketchbooks if I have them with me) of my travels. I can make cute little drawings of my hosts (I am always looking for models to pose for me haha).
