Hi! I am Tammy (27), and I live in Tilburg in the Netherlands. I love travelling by myself and I have always stayed in hostels, where I've met some amazing people whom I am still in contact with. This way of meeting people really stuck with me, and two years ago, I had my first couchsurfing experience with my partner. This convinced me to try it out myself.

So, about me: the last few years, I have been implementing spirituality, yoga, and meditation more and more in my daily practice. I do this by going to cacao ceremonies, mantra singing events, and spiritual retreats. One day, I might even find the courage to go ecstatic dancing, but that is a bit too scary for me still.

In addition, I hope to find a job in sexual health and reproductive rights. In the meantime, I work in a little spiritual living store that sells gemstones, singing bowls, yogamats, and so many other things. I also play volleyball and I (try to) go bouldering once a week. The rest of the time, I try to fill with seeing friends, reading, thrifting, or doing something creative (for example: next year, I hope to finally get sewing-lessons!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be able to visit places without having to pay crazy prices, and still be able to meet new and interesting people. My partner has hosted some really friendly people (some of whom we are still in contact with) and we have stayed with people in Le Havre. It was such a memorable experience that it made me want to explore Couchsurfing myself.
