ABOUT ME

Hi!

My name is Táňa. I live in Prague, Czech republic, but I come from and spent most of my life in Pilsen (a city in Western Bohemia, aprox. 100 km far away from Prague, famous for production of beer). I am a librarian. Although I am introverted, I like meeting new people and learning about different cultures.
I don't feel comfortable in clubs (dancing, etc.), instead, I prefer hanging out in pubs and talking with friends. I am non smoker.

Interests

I like reading a listening to the music; I used to play piano and guitarre. I used to be a girlscout, so I like hanging out in nature :) I love coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: I like crime literature (e.g. Agatha Christie, E. S. Gardner, Joe Nesbo) and recently, I started to appreciate classic literature (or in Czech republic the so called "obligatory reading") - I like for example the Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera or Three Comrades by Erich Maria Remarque. Very inspiring to me is the book Talks with T. G. Masaryk by Karel Capek (famous Czech author making interview with first Czech president; book full of ideas and opinions that don't get old, even when the book was written 80 years ago). I am not a fan of fantasy literature or sci-fi (but I liked The Lord of the Rings by Tolkien).

Movies: drama
Music: folk, rock, classical music (and other genres)

I also like some TV series (HIMYM, Gilmore Girls, The Big Bang Theory) and the US version of The Amazing Race and Survivor.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning, currently, I am working on improving my German & English language skills. I am planning to improve my rhetorical skills. I would like to get to know something about copywriting. I can also use your experience with working/looking for a job in foreign countries :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Since I was a girlscout, I can teach you Morse code or similar skills; if you plan to visit Czech republic, I can teach you some interesting facts about this country (or some Czech words, if you like). I spent 4 months studying in Turku (Finland) as an Erasmus exchange student, so I can share some experience with that :)
