ABOUT ME

I was born in Zagreb, Croatia and I've lived here most of my life. I work as a translator for a Government institution, but I also teach, write travel stories for a few magazines, and, of course, paint. In 2001/2002 I was seriously ill and after that I started appreciating my time on this Earth more than before. As soon as I got better after the therapies, I started traveling, knowing that the time to do the things I want to do might be very limited.
I love art, especially painting and photography. I love people, nature, animals... And I'm addicted to music. I like foreign languages, so I enjoy hosting people who speak the languages that I speak.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I offer couch, bathroom, Internet, tour-guide (if I'm not too busy) for two people maximum (or more if you want to sleep on the floor).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Only good experience so far. All of my Bosnian, Brazilian, Turkish, German, Peruvian, Swiss, Belgian, Portuguese, American, Canadian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Maltese, Serbian, Iranian, Cypriot, Italian, Austrian, Jordanian, Hungarian, Lithuanian and Russian hosts were super nice and I have hosted many cool people, some of whom have become my dear friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was allowed to enter a cage and stroke a panda at a zoo in China.
I did the Camino de Santiago in July 2014. I walked from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago de Compostela (780 km) in 26 days.
I volunteered in Uganda in 2011 and in Rwanda in 2017.

I can teach you the languages that I speak and you can teach me the ones that you do. I can also teach you to whistle with your fingers :).
