ABOUT ME

Hi there! I am Tanbay and I travel the world full-time with my fiancé Laura. I am German and she is British, we speak German and English and are learning Hungarian!

We have been travelling the world slowly since 2013 we've been to many places in Europe, South East Asia, North America and Australia.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We couch surfed twice in Perth, our first ever couch surf was in a house filled with 15 people and as many nationalities. We had a very exciting and fun two nights and slept in a tent. The second couch surf was with a couple had travelled the world and had loads of amazing stories. Both times were so inspiring and so much fun!

Movies: Angel.a, Donny Darko, Her, Life is beautiful, Little furniture, American beauty, the pianist, fly away home, anything with Leonardo DiCaprio in, Babel, Amores perros, Brüno, fight club, 12 and holding, children of men, animal kingdom, goodbye lenin, me without you, the experiment, la haine, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind and lots of guilty pleasures like love actually, hook and ET. lol. And of course mean girls and white chicks.

We're massive fans of American horror story and GAME OF THRONES.

Books: Harry Potter, anything Steven King, the time travellers wife, the reader, Game of thrones.

Music: This is where we disagree completely. Tanbay's favourite bands are Blink 182, Jimmy Eat World, Neck deep, Chunk!No, Captain Chunk! Yellowcard, Anberlin, Bastille, Dashboard confessional, fall out boy, finch, haim, little green cars etc. i.e. anything moany about not getting a girlfriend.

I essentially like any hip hop and all rap. The more offensive the better, though preferably in another language so I can't understand it and be offended by it. My absolute favourite at the moment is Awkwafina.

We do have some music that we both like, namely mellow stuff with nice lyrics: Jack Johnson, Bon Iver and Ben Howard. and Alt J

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing we've done is Australia, it was so beautiful and fun and so hottt. We met kangaroos and koalas, surfed at Bondi Beach and loads more, meet us and ask us about it!

Teach, Learn, Share

Tanbay is German and I am English, so if you'd like to learn some English/German we can help with that.

Tanbay can teach guitar and laugh at you when you are trying to learn a board sport (that's how he teaches me..)

I have a maths degree, I'm not very good at teaching maths but I am up for convincing you why maths is cool. I can also teach kickboxing
