About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring Europe for a month!

ABOUT ME

A Russian-born Jewish girl living in the US for many years who still feels somewhat un-American... I'm an old soul who loves to dance, cook and connect with other humans.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to CS, but it seems like a great idea!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a month in Israel, staying at hostels first and realized I'm not meeting many locals (duh!). With couchsurfing, I discovered people who are incredibly warm, generous and open to sharing their experiences and homes. I found the kind of meaningful connections I was looking for, and had some of the best times on the trip! Go couchsurfing!

Interests

Many kinds of music and dance, lately mostly ecstatic/freeform dance, and Argentine tango and blues. Love to be outdoors, hiking and swimming. Also love to cook and bake, especially rye bread and challah, and artisan cheesecake!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to my first live tango music performance in Buenos Aires - at first I was disappointed when people sat down on the dance floor to listen to the band instead of dancing, but then magic! Sitting in the front row, watching four 'morochos' tearing apart their bandoneons... it's hard to put into words, but suffice it to say that I understood that dancing is not the only way to experience tango music.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to bake bread, if you've got about 3-5 hours to spare. Or bake cheesecake, or many other desserts, which are much faster.
I'm also happy to practice speaking English, Russian or Spanish.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Czech Republic, France, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Portugal, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In

Russian Federation, United States
