ABOUT ME

Well, I was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Argentine parents... I'm 75% Italian and 25% Spanish by descent, I am Christian and of a very peaceful, laid back and non-confrontal nature... however I will speak up when things seem unjust (just depends how I speak up), and I have the worst "sailor's mouth" when driving in traffic! I'm very expressive, creative, sentimental, caring, outgoing (extrovertive), charismatic, funny (I LOVE to make people laugh...and LOVE to Laugh along)! I'm very responsible, trustworthy, and loyal... I'm a great confidant: with a great ear to listen, a strong back to lean on, a soft shoulder to cry on, and a big heart to rely on! =o) I am in no way perfect (in reality who is, and who really even wants to be) and I have made many errors and mistakes (learned from MOST of them) and will continue to fall short from time to time... but I have faith in GOD (HE'S #1 in my Life) I try to be honest to myself...thus being honest to those in and around my life, and always have good intentions... I guess as long as I don't hurt anyone; I'm okay with the mistakes I make as long as they served me as a good lesson...oh and I'm very philosophical and think a lot but to actually explain my many thoughts and feelings...my many philosophies on life; would not only take hours but take away from many wonderful converstions!! hehehe... I'm just lazy and don't feel like filling that part out because I know it would be like falling in to an abyss of thoughts and feelings...who knows if I could end! YES, I CAN GO ON FOREVER...but I'll STOP........ NOW!

PHILOSOPHY

Okay, so I did explain the problems I face with filling this out... but I will give some quotes I try to live by: "Do onto others as you would have others do onto you" "He who is without sin, cast the first stone" "Do not worry about tomorrow, but let tomorrow worry for itself" "Be civil to all, social with many, familiar to few, friend to one, enemy to none" but I kind of adjusted Franklin's quote a bit "...Familiar to some, friend to few, lover to one, and enemy to none!" "Life is not about making it through the storm, but learning to dance in the rain" "The happiest people are not those who have everything, but are happy with everything they have!" There are so many more but I'm sure you're pickin' up what I'm puttin' down!! ;o) Also, I must say here of all places what I say to all my friends when I speak of my passions... You're born in one place, but there's a whole world for us to discover before we close our eyes..."don't leave for tomorrow what can be done today..." (No dejes para mañana lo que se puede hacer hoy) "Everything happens for a reason." (No hay mal de que por bien no venga). Also, I think it's okay to have your head in the clouds as long as your feet are flat & firm on the ground...I'm like that...but then again; I am pretty tall!! lol! ok...I'm stopping- we'll talk later! ;-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I'm really new at this...but I have already begun to spread the word...so hopefully many more doors will be opened, and friendships made!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Before knowing about CS... I did have someone stay at my house that had been in the middle east for 5 months and Las Vegas was a stop for him on the way home to Oregon (also had him picked-up from the airport).
Have had a few friends come from Italy... (one did sleep one night at my house on my couch and I took him with me and my sister to California) would take them around town and dancing... vip service at the clubs~ never waited in line and only once did one of them have to pay the cover! hehehe! & on the other hand: pre CS I do have a friend in Palermo, Sicily who has offered his domain to me! VERY COOL OF HIM!

TRAVELING! DANCING (Especially Argentine Tango~ it's my favorite), SINGING, ACTING, TAKING PICTURES (Modeling/ and of moments to remember), READING, WRITING, DRAWING, SOCIALIZING (Meeting people~Making Friends & Keeping Them!!), ART/HISTORY (even though I'm horrible with names and dates), SPENDING TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS, KNITTING (scarves- they're easiest!), EATING, WALKING, TALKING, SWIMMING, THE BEACH, THE MOUNTAINS, PICNICS, LISTENING TO MUSIC, CONCERTS, GOING TO THE MOVIES/OR SITTING ON THE COUCH SNUGGLED UP WATCHING ONE, (SOCCER, BASKETBALL, TENNIS, BOWLING, POOL/BILLIARDS,~I either like to watch these, play these or both,)MIXOLOGY (making drinks/bartending),SHOPPING, PLAYING LIKE A KID IN THE ARCADE/MIDWAY, AMUSEMENT PARKS... Hmmm...By Golly I think that about sums it up!!

Music: It's easier to mention what I don't neccessarily care for: Gangsta Rap, & that Kenny G type Jazz not too be confused with the JAZZ I so very much love: (Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Louise Armstrong, Norah Jones...) Heavy Metal (Except for some like Metallica and if System of a Down is considered heavy...well I love them too! Oh and I like Black Sabbath; I guess it just depends on who for the heavy metal- I guess I don't care for the high-pitched screaming type of heavy metal from the 80's hehehe) But yeah... I LOVE music and have a very ecclectic collection!
Books... anything by Julie Garwood; Harry Potter series, Left Behind series, The Twilight series... I enjoy reading fiction over nonfiction...unless it's an article in a magazine on travel, wild life, or whatever else catches my attention...

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Danced the tango in Buenos Aires with my eyes completely closed! Traveled around Europe; and meeting some incredible people in the process... The way GOD works in my life... how sometimes it seems like a struggle but turns out a much better and worthwile outcome... I shouldn't be soooo surprised when it happens but the circumstances leave me awestruck every time! OOH I almost forgot about the moment a little bird was placed on my finger, it was something very special for me.

Yep yep... another one to think about... =oP I will say we can all learn and teach something to and from everyone! And although nothing is new under the sun, there is still something new for us to learn everyday!
