About Me

I am curious and shy but friendly. I often find myself in awkward situations that end up with a laugh. I am open-minded and laid-back.

At the moment I am living in Aarhus, DK, where I moved from Barcelona to do a 6-month Erasmus exchange, more than one year and a half ago (!). I didn't fall in love with the place but with someone in it. I finished my studies and put my education in a stand by and so far earned a modest living selling burritos. I don't have a clear direction and I am using this time to try out some stuff that always bugged me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Visiting a new place is one thousand times better if you have someone that is eager to share his/her knowledge and time with you. I am very excited to meet new people from around!

I wish I can host someday, until now my housing conditions haven't allowed that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think Richard Brautigan was a genius, the short plot-less chapters of "Trout fishing in America" and "A general confederate from Big Sur" and some of his stories and poems touched me in ways I can't explain.
I had a lot of pleasure reading Cien años de soledad, and I like whimsical absurd comedy like the books by Enrique Jardiel Poncela and PG Wodehouse. Also the short satiric stories of Quim Monzó. I really like graphic novels

I love music and I don't have much prejudice. I remember the day I discovered Radiohead as a revolution. I like to go hear live music as often as my pocket and my poor time-management skills allow it.

About movies, I like coming of age stories, I loved Wes Anderson's movies even if in the latest ones I got a bit distracted by the many characters and sceneries. I saw some Kusturica movies and I was deeply moved and marveled. Jim Jarmusch's characters are my idea of cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On august 2015 I tried to perform an exhaustive investigation to identify the best granita in Catania. Delicious enquiry even if the results are inconclusive. I am afraid it will require further work.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a blast from comparing languages and looking for the etymology of words and what it can tell us about history and culture.
I am open and interested in learning to cook some typical dishes and I can maybe try to put together something from my region.
