Been couchsurfing in Switzerland and it was FANTASTIC!

Seeing new places, meeting new people, learning new staff (such as getting a license in scuba-diving in Thailand, attending surf-school in Bali, flying in a helicopter to the bottom of Grand Canyon in USA, getting a second high education in Russian law, learning different languages, learning motorcycling and acrylic painting).

Walking on foot at night across the slum in Agra, India, with $1K cash in my pocket and the latest Iphone.
Climbing up a hill in Masai Mara national Kenyan park, in lions habitation area, to catch satellite and call for help to rescue our jeep stuck in mud. Hiking and swimming in Wadi Shab of Oman.
