Overview
About Me
I am a very open-minded person interested in so many different things (see some of my interests below). Besides all my interests I am so passionate on traveling that I try to make traveling some part of my job (e.g. some weeks of the year I am working as a tour guide in Spain, Germany and Ireland). I visited and explored many countries, always backpacking and without any planned itinary and trying to find out the "real" culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet all different kinds of people and get in contact with the locals. Traveling means to me to find out the real life of the inhabitants of the country, for example I travel to remote villages where no or less tourists are and trying to travel in a style that is similar to they way most of the population lives. In this sense coachsurfing is the best opportunity to learn and experience how the inhabitants live.
Beside Couchsurfing I am member of the hospitalityclub.org, which is the "old" CS. Within the Hospitality Club I hosted guests when I lived in Munich/Germany and Barcelona/Spain.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like nearly all kinds of music, always depending on my mood, for example Dancehall, Salsa, World and Latin Music, Electronic Music (EBM, Trance, Techno etc.), Reggae, Balkan pop, Punk Rock etc.
I love to go to concerts and Festivals.
My favorite books are travel books (yes, no kidding!), cooking books (yes, also true!), and biographies.
I like most documentary films about history and nature.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done so many amazing things that it is hard to say....
One thing that is jumping into my mind: I went on a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, walking the Camino de Santiago over 660 km crossing Spain by foot.
And another amazing experience of "slow traveling": I travelled from Berlin via Scandinavia and Russia crossing the Asian continent, 19.000 km all by train.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you like, I can cook for you. We can share our travel experience, talk about life and have fun going out together.
