A bit of me.
Serial traveller Vs. Compulsive conservationist.
A freelance Content Writer for Digital Marketing by profession and an active citizen science contributor for wildlife conservation by passion. Being a certified wildlife volunteer, my call for conservation comes first. Once done with my citizen science contribution in core forest areas for estimates, counts and surveys, I set out to range the diaspora of the region, exploring the culture, cuisine, crafts, communities, history and arts.
I am a climate conscious person living my life and traveling with minimal carbon footprints. I practice reuse and recycle/upcycle. Every consumerist decision/action has a big impact on the Earth. I have a minimalist approach towards life and believe in the power of slow living. I dote on my trysts in nature and wildlife, where I am completely cut off from civilisation. Needless to add, the encounters are indescribable beyond words.
While on the fields that are usually in no network zones, I may not be able to respond to hosting requests. True travelers with a penchant for trespassing undivulged territories are welcome.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Every guest brings his part of the world and his experiences in travel on the table. I look forward to the learnings from exchange of ideas, outlooks, perceptions and cultures, paving ways for trust, open mindedness and acceptance by bridging gaps, crossing borders, breaking barriers of not limiting travel to a certain class or gender, creating seamless contacts, transcending countries and continents, solidifying secularism enroute, all built on the premise of one tenet; travel, explore, seek, delve into the unknown.
Couchsurfing is a spirit that rises above all social frontiers and economic enclosures.

*Star gazing in Parzai.
*Paragliding in Solang Valley.
*White water rafting in river Beas.
*Scuba diving in Malvan.
*Rope river crossing in river Beas.
*Rapelling in Sandhan Valley.
*Kayaking in Kemmannu Backwaters.
*Staying awake all night at Kava Island watching a starry night overlooking the Kava lake.
*Being hosted by tribals on Kava Island.
*Turmeric Festival at Pattan Kodoli, Maharashtra.
*Karthik Purnima Deepotsav at Panchganga Ghat, Kolhapur
*Close encounter with leopard during wildlife training at KTR Dandeli.
*Traveling to remote villages in Malkangiri in the Eastern Ghats of Southern Orissa, exploring the PVTGs (Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups)
*I missed my 4.30 pm last bus from Padua to Jeypore which is a tribal hamlet 30 kms from Araku Valley. There was no public transport to Semiliguda either where I could have a safe hotel stay. With tension mounting till 8 pm, finally my stars shone when a kind family gave me a lift to koraput in their car, served me sumptuous dinner at their home, hosted me well for the night and dropped me at the bus stop next morning. When I mentioned it was my first day in Orissa, the family treated me like 'Athithi Devo Bhava' in the state. Such unsolicited warmth make travel truly memorable.
