I want something abit more of substance in my travels than the usual hostel/tourist attraction experience. I consider myself a more independent traveler and like to figure things out by myself but I also like to connect and get to know locals and see how they live their lives in their beautiful cities.

I am a sucker for anything with a good beat and always open to new and interesting recommendations!

I've been making my way through a list of books by Women of Colour. At the moment I have a literature crush on Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.

1. Interned for a US Senator.

2. Was a community campaigner for a national price on carbon pollution, leading to the passage of Australia's first Carbon Tax.

3. Travelling by myself, and slowly realising that the world is generally a good place and people can be wonderful.

I want to learn as much as I can from diverse people, their life stories and experiences that make them the way they are. As an immigrant Australian, I find it interesting to meet other people of diverse backgrounds and learn about the way they see themselves and live their lives in their home cities.

My willingness to do my share around your home, cleaning, cooking etc. A keen desire to hear your story. Good conversations. An eagerness to taste and see your city. I also make a pretty delicious chickpea curry. And hopefully a couch for you in the future!
