About Me

CURRENT MISSION

say yes whenever possible

ABOUT ME

I'm a 20 year old student from the US living (studying abroad for an extended period of time) in Barcelona. I've been in BCN for about 7 months and I love it.

For those who don't know, Berkeley is right next to San Francisco. I love my hometown and I'm really looking forward to going back in May. Living in Europe has taught me a lot about the US. Traveling the states is something I'm looking forward to when I get back.

Barcelona is a perfect city for me. I love to socialize (not just party) and bcn gives me lots of opportunities to do that. It also has incredible history, architecture, culture, diversity, music, art, and food. I'm into all of those things. Unfortunately, I'm pretty ignorant about art and history, there is a lot of it, but it something I'm working on.

Personality wise, I'm a very easy going guy. Easy going in the sense that I'm very adaptable to my situation and the people I'm around. If the people I'm around love to party, great. If they love to knit, great, I'd like to learn. Chick flicks? Maybe not great, but sure, why not.

PHILOSOPHY

Eat well and share it with someone. Listen. Acknowledge ignorance, but be not resigned to it. Apathy, not hate, is the opposite of Love.

Interests

Almost everything. But what occupies my time is the guitar, socializing, and dancing. I dance a lot. Salsa is my strongest, but I know the basics of the ballrooms (except samba). I'm trying to learn to be a better hip hop dancer through expert village and their videos. I've taken classes in Flamenco and was part of UCSB's Raices de mi Tierra, grupo folklorico Mexicano, for 2 years.

I'm teaching my self how to cook & eat well on a very tight budget. (Traveling and living in Europe, especially bcn, can be expensive.)

I'm also very interested in people. NY Times has this series that I really like.
