Hi! My name is Tara. I'm from Chicago in the states, but have been working as an international teacher for 8 years outside of the United States. I lived in Medellin, Colombia for 3 years before moving to Santiago, Chile.

I enjoying meeting new people and participating in cultural activities. I have an open mind and open heart which I hope will lead me to many meaningful and memorable connections and experiences.

Interests

I enjoy being active and outside as much as possible! My favorite outdoor activities include hiking and rollerblading. I also like spending a day laying in a park and people watching. I listen to a lot of podcasts, watch movies and tv shows, and read in my downtime. I like to play group sports and love playing games.
I like to cook at home but also love going out to eat to try new restaurants or street food.
I enjoy spending time with friends and family and going out for drinks and dancing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of any live music, especially outdoor concerts/festivals. I appreciate any good music and talent regardless of genre and especially love anything I can dance to. Also have a slight obsession with watching music videos.
I love having movie nights. This year I’ve been checking off lots of movies on my Chilean cinema list.
I read whenever I can, mostly over summer vacations. I like reading thrillers, narrative nonfiction, history/historical fiction and books about social issues.
