I love traveling and meeting people and exploring and learning about other cultures.
My recent travels:
I spent a few months in Asia in Sept thru Dec 2015. Then 5 weeks in Jan/Feb '16 in Colombia, then 5 weeks in Central America in March/April '16.

I am heading to Europe for the next trip, Oct,'16 to-... and would love to meet you amazing people!
I am a newbie to Couch Surfing. A Romanian traveller I met in Honduras introduced me to this site, and we used it there. Had a great time with our host, saw things, met people and had experiences we would never have had without a local. So I am keen to try it again.

Not really sure what all to write here.
I play sports when I am in the U.S. I love to read, you will always find my Kindle around.
I listen to all kinds of music, I love having music on, it can really affect vibes.
I am not big on television.
I do enjoy wine and craft beer, I don't smoke or do drugs, not a big partier. I enjoy walking cities and people watching and sitting in cafes and bars.
I lived in South and Central America for 2 years and went to Uni. there.
I currently am an independent contractor, so I can choose not to work and travel, then go back and work a lot, and keep saving to travel again. :)
I would love to find work in another country and live outside the U.S. Especially if Trump becomes president.
I love animals, though I don't have any currently. It's so hard when you lose them, and if you want to travel. But I get cuddle time in with friends pets.

I gave up my apartment and put all my belongings in storage. So these days, I rent rooms and stay with friends when I am in the US. That's the only reason I don't host. But I miss the multicultural interactions and meeting people from all over the world, that I get when traveling, so I may have to figure something out for the times when I am back in the US.
When I am in the US I run adventure races, and play softball and kickball.
I used to do photography professionally, these days I mostly do it as a hobby, but I take the odd job here and there.

I did some homestays in Chile, Central America, and in Asia and it's a great way to connect with locals and you can learn so much. It's fun to stay in hostels and do touristy things sometimes, but it's nice to get out of the environment as well. For a little balance.
