About Me

I am very easy-going, organized, and open-minded individual. I am originally from a small South-Asian evergreen country Bangladesh which has a large population of 180 million! I am currently doing my Ph.D. at a renowned state university in the USA. I grew up in the capital of Bangladesh, worked there in UNICEF and British Council and then moved to the USA in 2016 to pursue my Ph.D. degree. Life in the US has always given me astounding experiences and helped me revive my passion for the world, traditions, culture, people and traveling in general.

I am very fun-loving and get along with everyone. I may be soft-spoken and shy at first but quite talkative and enjoy thoughtful conversations. I consider myself a qualitative researcher so I love to go in-depth into something. Besides traveling I do photography, graphic design, and illustration. I love watching foreign language films and a music fanatic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to make new friends and travel buddies. I would love to show Couchsurfers around the city and nearby places. On the weekends, I usually go to different social gatherings which I believe a great opportunity to learn about other cultures. There is no reason to not to be here!

I also respect the individual preference of the surfers. If you would like to travel alone or be quiet on the couch there is no problem. I sometimes try to cook some delicious Bangladeshi dishes. So if you happen to stay with us during that time we would love to share with you.

I traveled in Europe made a lot of friends. I believe friendships are among the trickiest relationships out there. With enough self-confidence, flexibility, and patience, it’s possible to find friends in almost any situation and keep them for life. I believe Couchsurfing is a great platform and way to do so.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave a surprise to my parents in 2014. I took them on a surprise trip to Singapore. Before that my mom never flew on an airplane and saw a sea! The surprise trip was just a translation of her dream into reality.

Teach, Learn, Share

People in my community call me 'Selfie King'. I can teach how to take good photographs with a mobile phone, make travel videos. I can share stories about my country, culture, people, lives and so on. I would like to learn about your culture, profession, creative thinking, society, hobby and various things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Friendship for life, discussions and thoughtful conversation on myriad topics. I have an amazing experience in research in Bangladesh, I would love to share those as well. We can hang out and have coffee together and talk about people and life. I love surprises and would love to go to places without planning. I would bring some surprise gifts for my hosts.
