make friends, travel & learn
I'm 27, from the USA & am currently an instructor at a university here. I help run a site for foreigners in Istanbul: http://www.yabangee.com. I'm sort of all over the place in life, but the chaos keeps me happy.
If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am anxious to travel and meet fellow couch-surfers. The ideal is that I'd get a few cheap or free places to stay while on my travels. However, I am also very into the idea of making friends, seeing cities & towns through the eyes of locals, etc. etc. etc.
I love hosting a fair bit as well. I have been in Istanbul long enough to know the city pretty well...and I enjoy sharing that with people passing through.
Music (collecting vinyl records and going to shows)
Food (eating it, cooking it, throwing it at people)
Drinking (coffee culture & pub culture above all)
Literature (Too many favorites to think of...Kafka and Faulkner probably win it all)
Walking (If it is within walking distance, why take a car?)
Futbol (There is no easier way to connect with people internationally)
