My husband and I are originally from South Africa but we are living in Belgium until September- we are both studying / traveling right now. We are both Architects who have an interest in Urbanism - we love cities and people.

PHILOSOPHY

We would rather stay in the village than in a hotel, would rather walk than be driven.....

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would love to start surfing and could also host. When we are back in South Africa in 2012 we would love to start hosting from there. We can't wait to show people around Leuven and also one day around Jozi again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hoping to try it out for the first time soon....heard many good things. Give us a chance please! (or a reference :)We have actually done this sort of thing before in Johannesburg, but more by word of mouth. That's why it was great to discover the couch-surfing website. Because of our profession we are often approached by people looking to learn more about Johannesburg and Cape Town as lived cities. We often take time out to show travellers around...

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

We stayed with locals in a village in the north-west frontier province in Pakistan. That was an incredible experience. The next would be the 3 day train ride from Zambia into Tanzania - Tazara rail - you have to try it!
