Four months: Mexico, Guatemala, US, Canada - keen to climb, hike, run, explore, learn, grow
I love nature, outdoors, free and simple living.
I seek to be present and appreciate the little things. I love sunrises, mountains, cold beer, campfires and whiskey.

I want to learn as much as I can about the places where my wandering finds me, to connect with people in a meaningful way, and to contribute to protecting this earth.
If your heart wants to fall in love every single day; give it the freedom to run free and seduce the world.
“To find the universal elements enough; to find the air and the water exhilarating; to be refreshed by a morning walk or an evening saunter... to be thrilled by the stars at night; to be elated over a bird's nest or a wildflower in spring - these are some of the rewards of the simple life. ”
- John Burroughs
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted in Dunedin, NZ, off and on, and then surfed a fair bit in the U.S. during 2013. It's such a great way to travel, and to keep the passion alive while settled in one spot!
Hosted in Dunedin 2011
Surfed in California and Vancouver Island 2013
Plus meeting up with other travellers, attending CS events, etc
I spend most of my spare time hiking and trail running. I love the freedom of the outdoors, and learning more about the wilderness. I have recently begun to learn to climb, and had a taste of ski touring. I am hungry for new experiences, to learn new skills and to spend more time in beautiful places. Living and learning :)
I also love a good live gig, outdoor dance party, or social camping trip.
- outdoor activities

Music, Movies, and Books
Reggae, Dub, Funk, conscious Hip Hop... right now, The Human Experience, Wildlight, The Polish Ambassador. All time fave Fat Freddys Drop (NZ)... anything live and especially outdoors....
Books - I have at least 2-3 on the go at a time! But Kerouac is an all time fave. Loving adventure books. Recently discovered the genius of Steinbeck.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunrises, sunsets, full moons, swimming naked with dolphins, there are amazing moments in everyday life, you just have to keep your eyes open :)
My first time hiking up a glacier in the pre-dawn stillness, the crisp coolness in the air, the icy crunch underfoot.
Working in a kitchen at a Burning Man theme camp - cooking bacon in my knickers in the desert! Hahaha!
A caravan from Vancouver to New Brunswick to support Mi'kmaq anti-fracking protests. Participating in traditional First Nations ceremony in each province we passed through was such an honour and intense experience emotionally and spiritually. Then supporting the warriors on the frontlines, shutting down highways. So inspiring.
