ABOUT ME

We are a married couple who live in Manchester. We work in film and tv. We have relatively dry senses of humour being both Australian and Mancunian. We are pretty straightforward. We don't tolerate crap, and avoid giving it. We live in an awesome city, in an unbelievable house, and are very lucky. I hate cooking though, so if you can make a meal it's a bonus. We are low maintenance, non materialistic people. We like people who are the same.

PHILOSOPHY

We're pretty openminded and honest people. We do have a "no asshole" policy. In work and life :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host people who can inspire me with their lives and stories needing a place to crash for a few days. We host a lot of friends, and friends of friends who have passed through. It is generally always an interesting experience. I miss the Australian sense of humour.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We haven't done much hosting for couch surfing due to moving country and work. But generally we started hosting, thinking it would be interesting to meet new people traveling through, becoming a part of a bigger global community.

Interessen

Media, Films, Television, armchair philosophy and politics, living healthy, books, literature - we can converse on most things. We love what we do and it takes up a large amount of our time. We mostly don't see it as work, but a way of life.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

She like Classics, pulp, plays and 80s music. She prefers to watch well written TV series these days. He likes Punk, books about film making techniques, and is an encyclopaedia of knowledge. We're both pretty Meh about the current state of remakes and prequels in films, but when we see a good film are totally inspired.
We are both avid readers. She reads wide and extensively, he speed reads technical manuals on the toilet.

Laughter, realism, stories. Totally crap cook though. Handy with keeping things clean. Well trained house guest, with large amounts of experience of being a house guest.
