About Me

Well, what do you want to know?

I'm a healer and a vegetarian with a passion for travel and trees :)
Originally from the UK, the Bolivian Andes have more recently become my home - Cochabamba to be precise - where I live with my husband and mother-in-law. I love the food, I love the mountains, I love the sunshine and I love the friendly, lively, colourful people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Went to a couple of meet ups in the UK a looong time ago. Always offered to take any who wanted for the best hot chocolate in town. Unfortunately that place changed hands some years ago and now it sucks. What to do. Also no one ever took me up on the offer.

Other than that, I've been hosted by a couple of kind folks in India, and to this day consider one of those hosts to be one of my best friends. Very grateful to Couchsurfing for connecting us :)

Interests

Ask, I don't bite :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... Umm... I dunno. I love The Little Mermaid (original Disney 80s one, haven't seen the revamp), Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbour Totoro and - let's face it - most Studio Ghibli stuff I've seen (there's still a few I've missed). I really love the new Dune movies too and am eagerly awaiting the last.

TV... I loved GoT til they killed it. What to do. I guess The Big Bang Theory is probably my favourite show now, somehow it doesn't get old :) Oh, and I can't seem to stop watching Friends either lol. Started watching Shogun on Disney plus but other than that Disney Plus sucks so not sure when - or if - I'll see more. Something must have changed since my GoT addiction got rooted out also, cos I found the violence in that a bit much to handle. I guess people being boiled alive is where I draw the line... Otherwise it's just great to see something so well made. I was super impressed.

Books... Shoot I dunno. I'm looking to study Bhagavad Gita again soon, does that count? Otherwise I read the Wheel of Time series a year or two back and thought it was great. No idea how whoever made the Amazon show managed to massacre it so severely but what to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?

Well, I got on a magic monster bus and did the old hippy road overland from London to K-hole-du (or, well, Kathmandu... ). Fun!

Teach, Learn, Share

Yes. Ask :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'll have to see at the time. I'm a Reiki and EFT Tapping practitioner so those are always possibilities :)
