Hi, I used couchsurfing years ago as a host and hope to get involved as a guest. I love to travel and have wanted to take another extended trip abroad ever since studying in Italy in 2012. I currently work in the tasting room of a winery and I also make buttercream cakes with natural food colorings from my home in Northern Virginia. Business slows down in the winter months so January and February seemed like a great time to explore Central America.

Sustainability and caring for the environment is very important to me.

I love cats and they love me. If you live with cats that’s a big perk for me and I’m happy to help care for them.

I’m interested in just about anything food or art related.

I enjoy yoga. I’m out of practice due to a back injury a couple years ago but I’m ready to get back into it.

I’m a big fan of live music. My own musical skills are lacking but I’m always down to attend a show.

Skiing is a hobby that I enjoy. I'm a level II (intermediate) skier. It's not likely that I'll find any snow on this trip but would love to ski abroad in the future.

I've had 2 wonderful experiences as a host. I haven't surfed yet but I have a trip to Panama and Costa Rica coming up in 2020.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love live music and go to shows often. Some of my favorite bands are Thievery Corporation, Lotus, Tame Impala, Grateful Dead, Papadosio, Modest Mouse, The Flaming Lips, Sublime, Beats Antique.
I don't watch many movies but some of my favorites are the LOTR series, Anchorman, 40 yr old Virgin and Wedding Crashers. I watch TV a bit more. I'm currently binging on Always Sunny and Shameless, I never get tired of Family Guy and I'm a big fan of Game of Thrones and Westworld.
I honestly don't sit down and read a book as often as I would like but some of my favorite series' are A Song of Fire and Ice, and Harry Potter.
