ABOUT ME

I've been living in England for the last 9 years, though I have taken many extended breaks to travel and work abroad. I spent some time as an aspiring actor in London. Though I have moved on from this, I still have a loud voice. Since then I went to Uni and after a couple years of exploration I've decided to go back to Uni for the rest of my life. I've spent much of my life living in different places and travelling, to the point where I don't have a very clear sense of where's home. Nevertheless, My girlfriend Ellie Smale and I have decided it's time to set up something more permanent and we're gonna try out making it work in Sheffield, cause everyone says it's great.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Once again on the move, and therefore without a place to offer. We're looking to settle in Sheffield, and therefore looking for some friendly and generous people who can give us their secrets about this great town. Once we are settled, we'll certainly be open to surfers. Though we're pretty bad at staying on top of anything internet related so be patient.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed with a few people so far and certainly had some lovely experiences. I want to do more, only I hate the internet, which makes it a challenge.

Interests

I like to laugh and be merry, to talk far too long about very small things, to make up dance moves in a effort to hide my lack of rhythm, and to enjoy good food, good wine, and a hell of a party.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies by the Coen Brothers, Terry Gilliam, and that guy what did Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I love music of many varieties, though you'll have to excuse me for not knowing exactly what qualifies as progressive techno and acid house and all the other plethora of music categories. I like dance music that makes me think, funk and house to groove to, underground hip hop, and rock dance disco fusion type thingies. Some artists worth mentioning are Daft Punk, Crazy P, LCD Soundsystem, Bjork, Jurassic 5, Justice, Amon Tobin, Fat Freddy's Drop, Ugly Ducking, Portishead, A Tribe Called Quest, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, Phi Life Cypher, Darc Mind, Hot Chip, The Postal Service, and The Doors (My all time favourite)

As for books, My favourite recent read is One Hundred Years of Solitude. I also finally managed to read Crime and Punishment which was scintilating. I've always been a fan of Charles Bukowski, John Fante, George Orwell, Albert Camus. One of my favourite books is a Million Little Pieces by James Frey, though I think his other books are crap.
