About Me
I love to travel and experience cultural differences. I especially like traveling in third world countries due to the slower pace and less materialistic lifestyle. I usually don't care where I sleep. Traveled all over Europe for 4 months when I was 18 and slept in cow pastures and fields much of the trip. Have more recently been to Thailand, Vietnam, Guatamala and Ecuador, Dominican Republic Upcoming plans for Sri Lanka. I like nothing more than to be dropped in a foreign country to experience the difference in culture, food, smells, lifestyle and to see how easy it is to adapt on a daily basis. It makes me feel alive. I am semi-retired. I am a Medical Assistant and gave up my fulltime position and am now on call. But, they call me often and I have a hard time saying no. I live in the Seattle area.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Experienced flooding while on horseback in the Dominican Republic. It was amazing because we lived through it. LOL. We had crossed a river on horseback which then became impassable due to flooding. Had to find a way home up and over the mountains while sliding through mud on the edge of mountains. Let go of the reins assuming my horse was a lot more adept at managing his large body in this horrible situation and that was the right play. Horrendously scary, yet memorable for a lifetime. One of my nine lives.....
