Hi, I'm Tatsunori from Tokyo, Japan.

I co-founded an EdTech startup named manabo ( https://manabo.com/index.html ) in 2012 Spring when I was a university student. We provide on-demand online tutoring smartphone app that connects high school students & university students. Already reached 50k+ students, 2k+ tutors, 100k+ tutoring sessions, 10+ partnerships with giant companies, $4M+ finance in total etc. I contributed as a "Super Generalist" such as coding, finance, sales, legal matters, UI design, public relations, recruiting, operation, customer support etc. And now preparing for a new startup named "JIJI-BABA-HOIKUEN", home nursery school by elderly couple in Japan.

And another hot topic for me, is getting married in 2016 autumn!! I hope to have wonderful family with my beautiful and talented fiance :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm visiting San Francisco from July 19th to 22nd. Hope to interact with local startup communities including Couchsurfing host and his/her relationships or recommendations.

I have an option to use AirBnB, but I think that is a bit more commercialistic...

Of course I hope to welcome the SF host when they are coming to Tokyo!!

Interests

I've been working for more than 4 years on an EdTech startup so interested in education issues. And my next project is related to national finance sustainability in aging society, especially in the context of how to increase total fertility rate, how to decrease pension&medical expenses.

Other interest that make my life amazing: daily yoga & meditation, muscle training, cooking with seasonal foods etc.

I will take some small souvenirs such as Japanese snacks or daily goods!! If you have any requests, just tell me (budget is limited though).

And also will cook and provide some local Japanese foods if you have kitchen at the accommodation. I love cooking and usually cook for my fiance and myself :)

And feel free to contact me when you come to Japan, I will provide my place to stay or search for accommodation if it's not available, and I can coordinate your exciting stay in Japan!!
