Couchsurfing in SF is difficult. Everyone has tiny apartments and there are thousands of travelers. We receive about 10 requests a day and we're usually booked about 3 months in advance. So, how do you surf with us?
1.) Be interesting. Tell us why you're cooler than everybody else. You only have one chance to convince us that we want to hang out with you - make it count.
2.) Keep it short and sweet.
3.) NAMES and RELATIONSHIPS of EVERYONE in your group.
4.) Repeat the phrase "parachuting koala" somewhere in your request so that we know you read this. (more creative = more points)
My wife and I live with our two tiny dogs in the center of the city. We have a couch and a few air mattresses. The dogs will bark when you first meet them, and then cuddle and be your best friends.
Don't bring cars to SF - this is a walking city and cars will be in your way.
