I'm an ecologist, gardener, and big fan of the universe. Currently based in London, I've lived in the USA, Scotland, Cornwall, Canada, and South Africa, often travelling the world to do biological research.

I like turning over logs and rocks to look for cool bugs, cycling, hiking, swimming in the sea, and generally being outside and getting muddy. I'm interested in alternative living, and sustainability and always want to learn more. I also love music--I sing in a Bulgarian choir and am in a sea shanty band. I have also been known to swing dance, blues dance, and I never turn down a ceilidh. I read compulsively, talk about politics, bake many cakes, and drink lots of coffee. Recently I've started making ice cream.
