Hello!

I'm in my twenties and I graduated last spring from McGill University in Montreal, Canada. I grew up on opposites sides of Canada, having been born in Nova Scotia and then having moved to British Columbia during my high school years. I'm the youngest of four siblings. I have tree planted for the last two summers and really loved the community aspect living together and working so hard toward a similar goal.

I am travelling this year through Europe as has always been my dream! I was encouraged by friends to try couchsurfing because they had had great experiences with it and I think it would be a lovely way to meet people on my journeys this year and gain a unique perspective of new cities and people.

兴趣

I like biking, walking and hiking. I like going to farmers markets and cooking food from local farmers. I enjoy a good beer or a cup of tea. I enjoy reading and writing in my spare time. I love hosting friends and family at my home and entertaining guests.

My favourite music is a really hard one for me. I guess I have a pretty eclectic array of genres I like -- anything from broadway musical scores to The Black Keys to Crystal Fighters to Notorious B.I.G. to Tom Petty. Each one occupies a unique time and place!

This year my favourite movies I've seen were Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Whiplash, and Angry Indian Goddesses.

My all time favourite books are East of Eden, The Kite Runner, The Life of Pi, and most recently Amy Poehler's Yes Please

I've planted 180 000 trees during my last two summers in Canada.

I am working on my french and I would really love to become bilingual.

I love to teach people about the field of geography and how it is such an interesting and broad reaching study that continues to fascinate me.

I am always willing to share in cooking a meal and sharing it together with friends, family, and acquaintances. I think this is the simplest and most genuine ritual humans have.

I am easy-going, happy, tidy, and always keen to help in whatever way I can. I hope I can share some Canadian knowledge, and some travel stories over a pint, and gain some new and happy friendships!
