About Me

Last minute requests only, please!! Not more than 2 days in advance. I often don't know what I'm doing tomorrow so I prefer to host spontaneous travelers who are flexible with their plans.

Include the sentence "I absolutely love washing dishes and sweeping the floor!" in your request to boost your chances of getting hosted.
Also please let me know in your request if you have a sleeping bag and mat and are ok sleeping on the floor.

In the winter I live with a community of skiers in Gudauri, Georgia. In summer I live somewhere else.

I travel a lot and most enjoy traveling by hitchhiking and bicycle. I also spend a lot of time kite surfing, hiking, and eating. I'm looking for new projects to get involved with and new skills to learn.

As a guest, I don't really need anything other than a small corner of floor space, and I'm just about the least picky eater you'll ever find.

I've been writing a blog while on the road which you can see here: http://www.taylorbf.com
I don't update it very often.

Work to live, don't live to work.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interactions that are solely based on the desire to help each other and a genuine interest in the other person's life are nicer than interactions based on the expectation of monetary compensation.

I don't care too much to see the sights of a city. I'm more interested in hanging out with you and your friends and meeting the people of a city.

I love trying new foods and would be happy to buy the ingredients for you to teach me how to cook a traditional meal from your culture. I can cook for you as well.

I enjoy hosting just as much, if not more, than surfing. A highlight of my year was hosting 11 people in my apartment at the same time.

I like to mix adventure, adrenaline, intellectual stimulation, and communal living.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything that's not boring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Inspired someone to stop being a tourist and become a traveler.

Quit my job in a chemistry lab and became a professional ski bum.

Sailed from Greenland to Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

-I want to learn acro yoga and programming and more about blockchain.
-I can teach you how to ski.
-I want to learn Georgian language.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope that I can make your day more interesting. I can share stories, knowledge, how to travel without much/any money, English language, whatever is in my backpack. I'll cook you a nice meal. Wherever I end up, you'll always have a place to stay!
