About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Changed perspective.

ABOUT ME

I am a southerner and i've recently escaped. I'm okay.

I'm tall. I have some good stories. I have good intentions, and a lot to offer.

I love the rain.

PHILOSOPHY

Speed Levitch-

"I think that my favorite victory is the ability to feel
Such insincerity it’s incredible
And if the cruise is anything,
be it appreciation
be it a voyage
be it an adventure that leads back to ourselves
be it a cartwheel or a summersault
If you find the cruise in a piece of carrot cake,
if you find the cruise in a topless bar
The one thing the cruise always is, I think, is sincere
And sincerity is one of my favorite victories in this lifetime
I mean how much rebellion did I have to experience
How much fighting did I do?
How many times did I have to ignore my father’s inability to emote?
How we all ignore our father’s inability to emote in our presence
How much air conditioning did I have to transcend and the comfort that goes along with it.
The comfortable couches, the television, the magnitude of static that surrounds us
I mean how much daily fighting, infighting, strategizing, evading, running did I have to do for the ability to feel, for the ability to emote, for the simple moments when I feel actual passion."

James Cone-

"well thats uh, thats uh, those uh, thats uh, those are words of broken heart.
They could be interpreted as broken love.
Let me down easy,
I certainly heard it within that context.
Its about love broken.
Dont do it to harshly,
not to me.
Let it be easy.
And its a combination of-of-of talkin about uh, love and talkin about hurt,
from broken love, broken heartedness.
The same time talkin about hurt from whas happenin to you in society"

Some protesters in the UK -

"I KNOW WE ARE CREATING A SCENE, BUT CREATING A SCENE IS NOT ILLEGAL
YOU WERE BORN FREE
YOU WILL LIVE FREE
YOU WILL DIE FREE
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO MAKE A SCENE
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO SCREAM FOR JOY
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO COMPLAIN
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO CRY
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO LOVE PEOPLE
YOU'RE ALLOWED TO HUG PEOPLE
WE'RE STARTING TO FEEL SCARED
WE'RE STARTING TO FORGET HOW DIVINE AND SPECIAL WE ARE
AS HUMAN BEINGS
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU IS THE ONLY EXAMPLE OF YOU THAT WILL EVER EXIST AND THERE IS NOTHING A SINGLE AUTHORITY IN THIS WORLD, especially a private security guy, WHO CAN TELL YOU HOW TO BEHAVE AT ANY TIME, ANY PLACE, ANYWHERE
YOU ARE FREE
YOU WERE BORN FREE
YOU WILL DIE FREE
THE ONLY CHAINS THAT EXIST ARE IN YOUR MIND"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I witnessed a peaceful transition of power in which for the first time ( if an inauguration isn't moving enough in and of itself and although I generally don't like governments of any flavor) power was transitioned to a black man.

i repelled off of Mt. Cheaha.

Was on the coast near the Alabama/Mississippi line during hurricanes Katrina and Ivan.

Saw a game in the OLD Yankee Stadium.

Picked up a family of hitchhikers and drove them over 300 miles.

Made contact with my great Aunt who was more or less estranged by my family for being the first white woman to teach in a desegregated school in alabama.

I held a funeral for a sea-turtle, and then dug it up when the vets came looking for what the neighbors had reported as a "beached creature".

I went digging for sharks teeth and fossils in caves in alabama and tennessee.

i bailed hay on the hottest day of the summer in alabama.
