American studying in Germany on exchange. I study literature and history for my degree, but have interests in most humanities and social sciences and think people who are good at math are magic. I approach everyday as a new chance to do something different that usual and to become a better person than you were yesterday, but also to see what the day can hold and what mischeif or fun you can get into. I am really bad at staying in one place for long periods of time, so I'm always looking for the next adventure, the next place to go, or the next person to grab a cup of coffee with.

One of the best parts of traveling is getting to know the people in a place, not just just the touristy attractions, building relationships and seeing the city as it really is, and Couchsurfing is perfect for that. Whether the people you connect with are raised in the city or its where they've elected to build their life, there is something magical about seeing the city through thier eyes and getting to hear their stories, interests, and personalities. People are what make a culture and establishing connections with them is often more important and fullfilling than doing the touristy things.

Música, películas y libros

Books are a never ending list and one of my biggest passions, but I have a weak spot for Gothic literature, Romanticism, historical non-fiction, poetry, and classics - though I'm starting to get more into books on economics and habit building and am always looking for recommendations, regardless of the genre.

Music is constantly playing no matter what I'm doing, and every type has its own mood and purpose. Especially fond of heavy metal and hard rock, but also can vibe to classical, country, old-school rap, new-school hiphop, anything 80s, acoustics, post-punk and grunge, and since moving to Germany am very slowly being able to groove with techno. Just because it might not be what I automatically put on doesn't mean I'm not interested and discovering new artists and styles is one of my favorite things!

I generally don't have the attention span for movies, I'm easily distracted (see can't stay still for long) but I love horror, action, Marvel, Lord of the Rings, psychological thrillers, comedies, and Harry Potter will always have a speacial place in my heart.

So many adventures - though I guess they're more "sentimental" than "amazing". I've been head butted by a pigeon in Venice, got ridiculously lost in Sienna, wandered around Prague in the middle of the night, partied all night in Berlin, rented a car and driven all over southern Croatia, explored Christiana, explored viking ruins and ships, lived a soap opera night in Stockholm, and explored northern Poland with the locals.
