About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To leave each place I visit better than I found it, & to myself grow better with each visit.

ABOUT ME

A college student trying desperately to pass all of his classes at NYU who would love to travel but just spent all of his money on tuition. I'm generally easygoing & gregarious (does using gregarious make me sound a little douchey?), & have a strange compulsion to leave others' things neater than I found them, even if I can be a mess sometimes. I'm not very big & don't eat much, so I'm really the perfect travelling guest!

PHILOSOPHY

Aware as I am of my own relative naïveté, I am loathe to espouse whatever undoubtedly shortsighted philosophies I may have onto others. Regardless, if there is one indelible fact that my mother taught me, it is this: Take care of others when you can, & have faith that they will take care of you when you need it. Such an idea seems very fitting in the couchsurfing community, & I for one am excited to witness the truth of it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My family has always had an open home, & growing up it was just a fact of life that those who needed a place to stay would find one with us. Now that I'm taking my first burgeoning steps into the real world, I hope to find that same generosity of spirit in others. I plan to keep my family's tradition alive, & if I can do so in others' homes as well as my own by being a worthwhile guest, then I can die a happy man.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I'm very new to the couchsurfing community proper, but am quite the accomplished amateur. Due to some complications with college housing, I've spent the past year bouncing back & forth between the various apartments & dorm rooms of friends & acquaintances. Beds, beanbags, couches, cots, chairs, floors, & everything in between. I've even spent a few nights at the library when necessary. There's nothing quite like the Dewey Decimal System for company on a cold night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have you ever tried Beverly?

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm not good at a lot of stuff. I can show you how to get a wicked high score in Defender, or how to consistently spell Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. I'm great at tying shoes & am willing to educate extensively on both the DC & Marvel universes (alternate dimensions included). Heard of Warhammer 40,000? I could talk for days. Wanna learn how to shoplift like a pro? I'm your man.

Maybe I shouldn't have said that last one.

Oh well.
