Overview
About Me
I am at Wilfrid Laurier University studying Social Work and Indigenous Studies.
I've been a kayak instructor for two years now, one at a small local outfitter in Paris, Ontario and the other for myself! I opened up my own company in the 2017 summer - an adventure camp for kids!
Do not hesitate to ask me about it, I love helping others form their business plans, or creating budgets for creating their own companies!
Random facts about me:
1. I have always wanted to be on The Amazing Race, but I'm so scared of heights... my legs will give out.
2. Other than my adventure camp business, I dog walk part-time.
3. I've worked at a pet store, small cafés, chain restaurants, and local businesses - I've only ever liked working for myself... it's absolutely freeing and beautiful to see how far hard work can go.
4. I once went to Tobermory, Ontario - and had to jump over a large crack in the earth (again, my legs gave out and I almost fell in - my boyfriend saved me).
5. I have a labrador retriever named Brandy, and a Beta fish named Lipstick.
6. I drive a green Volkswagen Beetle (the coolest car money can buy).
7. I talk about anything Curtis brings to me... space? deconstructing social norms? the ocean? Bring it up and we will have a conversation for hours!
**NOTE - Will be travelling as a couple!**
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCH SURFING EXPERIENCE?
None, Currently.
However, My boyfriend Curtis and I are taking a 2 month road trip starting in July 2018 before we head back to school.
We will be beginning in Woodstock, Ontario heading towards the Rockies!
Our trip itinerary you ask?
Starting in Woodstock, we plan to visit all these major spots: Chicago, Milwaukee, Fargo, Montana (all the parks), Alberta, B.C, Washington, Oregon, Yosemite National Park, the Grand Canyon, Salt Lake City and back.
We also want to hit up as many hot springs as possible!
I've done housesitting in the past, and I am registered on TrustedHousesitters.com - other than camping, I plan to switch between housesits and couch-surfing as much as I can for this trip!
Also, I plan to stay away from the bears!
**NOTE - Will be travelling as a couple**

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Shania Twain, John Mayer, mostly any song from the 70's-90's.
I absolutely love Into The Wild, I've watched the movie and read the book countless of times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spontaneous 2 day trip to Mount Tremblant. It's way too beautiful there, the snow is so deep... I drove up a hill and slid the whole way back down!! People were laughing at me as they walked by in their snow shoes!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give you Paddle Canada lessons, and teach you how to score big at the thrift store (I worked at the Salvation Army for 2 years!)
There's lots to learn, and lots to share!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unfortunately on the road I cannot offer many material possessions - back at home I have two kayaks and would absolutely love to take you down the river.
All I can offer is cooking, cleaning, feeding farm animals and sharing my love for exploring!
