Overview
About Me
I am currently a junior in college, and will be studying abroad in Germany next year, and I am really excited to start traveling again. My mother is prior military and my father is current military, so I moved around a lot growing up, primarily in Germany. This allowed me to travel extensively while growing up, and I've since had a love for new places and experiences. I am nearly fluent in German and a little less so in Spanish, and after I graduate I hope to end up back in Germany to teach English to speakers of other languages.
I really love traveling, reading (especially fantasy), playing with my family's dogs (and any other animal, I love 'em all!). My grandparents own a farm, so I spend a lot of time helping them out with ranching and the dairy farm when I have any time off of school. My favorite activity, would have to be just hanging out with friends as we tend to find adventure in nearly everything we do and that's led to some pretty interesting stories over the years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
First and foremost, I am a college student, and that comes with a pretty limited budget. However, I also enjoy meeting new people and having experiences, and I find that hostels and Couchsurfing is a generally great way to meet people who love to travel and have as much adventure as I do. I also have never been particularly fond of stuffy hotel rooms, especially because I spend more time away from my room than in it when I travel!
Interests
reading, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, live music, walks, cooking, train rides> plane rides,
I really enjoy learning new languages and if there were a way for me to do that as my job, no strings attached, that would be my first choice, hands down.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: that is a never-ending list
Books: Game of Thrones, The Inheritance Cycle, Jane Eyre, The Book Thief, and many, many more, these are the few I could think of off the top of my head
Movies: Not a big movie watcher (or much tv in general, actually), but when I do, it's usually an indie or indie film,
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most of my travels were family trips, but there are a few others that stand out. I think two of my favorites were week-long English language camps with Czech students that I used to participate in throughout high school.
I'm hoping to make much more interesting memories during my study abroad experience next year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can give very informal lesson on beginner German, and very limited Spanish.
I'm also very good at trivia/jeopardy so take your chances if you dare.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Basic language practice in German, and a little in Spanish (I'm a little rusty!), good conversation, and I'm also able to cook a pretty decent vegetarian meal.
Countries I’ve Visited
Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland
