Overview
About Me
I am an outdoor enthusiast whose grown up in Murfreesboro, TN but spent a lot of time in the east Tennessee area around the Smokey Mountains. In high school, I played basketball and football and was also a big intramural player in college. In college, I was a Younglife leader at Carson-Newman University and was also the intramural director. I have dog named Boone who is my outdoor companion and goes everywhere with me, I love him to death. I consider myself a very earthy individual and welcome diversity.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Among so many things that I love, traveling is probably at the top of my list. I love seeing different parts of the world and how cultures differ from place to place. I also enjoy meeting different people and hearing their stories. I'm a sucker for views, coffee, and craft beers. Most importantly my goal is to build friendships all around the world.
Interests
I love backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, snowboarding, running, and almost anything else outside. I love good beer, coffee, listening to good music or going to a show, and of course staying "green".

Music, Movies, and Books
I like almost any kind of music except heavy metal. I really like bluegrass/folk, instrumental, and alternative music. I don't think I have one particular favorite movie but I love the Batman movies, Hotrod, and Will Ferrel in general. A lot of books that I read are about hiking the Appalachian Trail and my favorite one though is "As Far As The Eye Can See".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to a private island in Haiti to ride the longest zip-line in the world which half of the ride was over the Caribbean. Yes, it was worth it!
Teach, Learn, Share
If there is any question about survival skills or the outdoors, the odds are I probably have a good idea what the answer is. There is definitely a lot that I don't know though and thats where meeting and hearing other people's stories comes into play. We all have something to share and thats what makes this site perfect!
What I Can Share with Hosts
As much as I love getting outside and getting dirty, I am very clean and like to keep my room looking nice. Along with being able to keep my area clean I also am not high maintenance at all and can make do with just about anything. I'm a great roommate!
