Overview
About Me
After nearly six years of my undergraduate career, I recently graduated with a B.A. in Spanish and Psychology. While I am currently working as a phlebotomist at a local plasma donation center, I am continuing my Spanish education by spending time with my friends who are fluent in the language as well as listening to podcasts (my favorite being Español Automático!)
My other hobbies include hiking, yoga (I am still a beginner!), playing piano, reading, cooking, and hand-lettering. My husband enjoys wood working, auto-mechanics, and growing hot peppers (which reaps a great benefit of delicious homemade hot sauces).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My husband and I are looking to travel more and we recently learned about Couchsurfing! We thought it would be a great way to learn more about the areas we are interested in as well as engage more with the culture.

Music, Movies, and Books
Since I've graduated, I have begun reading for fun which is something I haven't done in a long time. I just finished Pride and Prejudice and Murder on the Orient Express, both of which I greatly enjoyed.
I enjoy a lot of Indie music, my current favorites are The Brook and the Bluff, Andrea Marie, Miki Fiki, Sleeping at Last, Jordy Searcy, Tow'rs and Cory Wong.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a month this past summer in Costa Rica's blue zone, Nicoya, where I was immersed in the culture and grew immensely in my Spanish speaking and listening skills! I learned an great amount about the health of individuals who live in blue zones as well as the ecotourism of Costa Rica.
