About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not grow up.

ABOUT ME

My best friend calls me Monkey because I like to climb up things and jump off things. She also calls me Goof Ball.I think Goof Ball is a pretty accurate description. I'm all about having FUN and living in the moment. I don't take life too seriously. I have a tattoo of a bandaid on my arm. I imagine at least 95% of the people on this site describe themselves as adventurous, well I'm going to go ahead and be part of the masses. I am adventurous and spontaneous. I've also been told I am witty, charming and ridiculous. Ridiculous pretty much somes it up.

PHILOSOPHY

Don't take things too seriously.

Interests

Life grabs my attention. Let go. Don't plan and allow life to happen to you in some of the most beautiful ways. Even when I don't have the opportunity to travel I like to go out at night with no plans and see what happens. Some of my favorite stories have come from experiences like this. Other than spontaneously floating though life I also enjoy meeting new and interesting people. I love studying how people opperate. I am usually spending my time writing, writing jokes, telling jokes on stage, drinking wine, riding my bike, going to the beach, drinking beer at sunset... or sunrise :) hiking, rock climbing, doing something I've never done before, creating new cocktails, taking random pictures, intentionally getting lost... as long as there is FUN involved I am there!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite days of my life was playing with the monkeys in Malaysia(see profile pic.)It was an unexpected dream come true. Then I had a very similar experience paddle boarding with dolphins in Hawaii. I'll never forget entering Darling Harbor in Sydney on a ferry and seeing the Oprah House for the first time. I believe I shouted the same thing I shouted when I walked on the Great Wall of China "You do exist!"

I've had some great advenutes in my life. I went on an improptu road trip to Portland from LA at 2am with no actual destination. And last April I made an impromptu decision to go to Coachella 2 days before the event. I left the day after my decision was made and rock climbed in Joshua tree first. Later I got stranded in the desert and had to hitch hike back to J Tree. It's a pretty good story I'll share with you over a cocktail or a hot cup of coffee.

But it's these exact moments that make me love life. Losing our reservations in Vegas during a sold out weekend then making friends who let us crash. These moments that you can't plan. Arriving to Australia all by myself with no plans or transportation. Jumping out of a shuttle by myself on Magnetic Island off the coast of Townsville, AUS leaving some others in my crew, impulsively deciding I needed one more night on the island. These moments that most people would call dumb. These are my favorite moments of my life. Always saying YES and always seeking a thrill. That's how I get my kicks and lemme tell you... it kicks ass.
