About Me

COUCH REQUEST DISCLAIMER

I like to communicate efficiently - whether guest or host, feel free to take a look at the additional information on the "My Home" tab to understand my expectations and why I communicate how I communicate.

ABOUT ME

My main occupation is programming robots and being a bit of a workaholic. Besides, I would like to experience as much as this world has to offer!

PHILOSOPHY

Countries should be small, productive efforts should be rewarded, relations between people should be compassionate and constructively honest - please tell me what you don't like about me ;) !
The road to hell is paved with good intentions - trial & error > idealism.
Doing the same mistake twice is stupid - there is much to learn from past generations, even with small things.
I'd love to hear about your philosophy!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have been surfing more than hosting, and I am looking forward to hosting more once I am able to!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

2011: Pittsburgh, PA
2012: Santa Clara, Silicon Valley
2013: Sweden + Norway
2014: Meeting up with people in Barcelona and Zurich and hosting for the first time.
2015: Argentina
... and it has been awesome every time!

Interests

Robots, good and intuitive explanations, books, music, indie video games and cooking. Also, FPV drone racing! If you don't know what it is, it's awesome!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcLk_uZe33w . I used to play classical guitar for twelve years and started the piano for a short while, but I haven't played either seriously in a long time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I used to be a lot into independent movies towards the end of high school, but now I'm afraid I've become a little boring in that respect. I trust the judgement of https://www.youtube.com/user/YourMovieSucksDOTorg

Music:
- Melodic Jazz, rather Piano/Contrabass than Brass/Electric Guitar: Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Hiromi, Keith Jarret, Avishai Cohen, Jacques Loussier, Youn Sun Nah, Manu Delago
- Electric music (often French): Daft Punk, Air, Justice, SaLM, The Chemical Brothers
- Miscellaneous: Stupeflip, Ghost, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Foster the People

Books: Classics, modern or not (I consider "A Song of Ice and Fire" already a classic). I am currently reading Shantaram, though only when I'm traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have actually made one turn around the world, towards the West. It took me 400 days, during which I studied at one of America's best universities, made a road trip accross the USA, worked at a tech company in the Silicon Valley, and experienced Japan.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: How to use Linux, git and C++. How to make a website or how to build a robot (soldering and all). Help with Maths, Physics and Computer Science. FPV drone racing.
Learn: Anything
Share: Recipes, YouTube channels, Music, Movies and
Books.

Argentina, Canada, China, Croatia, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay
