Althea Skinner is a student of the world: she holds a Masters of International Development from American University in Washington, D.C. Her regional foci are Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America; her focus is management and learning for rights-based sustainable development. At the end of the day, Althea is most empassioned by nature, people, and the arts/culture: dance, music, painting, homemade food, honest dialogue and intercultural exchnage forge the real stuff of life!

my busy life does not allow me to host often. but this network of good people who value cultural exchange over money is one of the best things ive come across.

all of my couchsurfing experiences have rocked: the people ive stayed with have all been amazing and i try to reciprocate, cooking something yummy to share and/or leaving behind or sending later not only good energy and memories but also original art, etc.
