ABOUT ME

I try to approach life simultaneously with a childish sense of delight and mature sense of skepticism. Apparently it produces damn enjoyable results! Eating healthily, exercising, and getting daily doses of sunshine and people doesn't seem to hurt much either.

I have blogging levels of disrespect for religion. Luckily I can still muster some semblance of tact; after all, you don't blame the victim for cancer. I'm also very pro rights. Drugs, prostitution, group marriage, suicide, and public nudity should all be legalized. Perhaps you disagree with one of those. Let's talk about it!

PHILOSOPHY

I try every day to live my life appropriately given the vast amazing absurdity of the universe. I fail, miserably.

We have an awesome media setup which many a group has put to good use. There's no TV subscription though, if you're worried about that I should probably also mention that we don't have a laser disk player either. :p

Every single Sunday there's game night at the house. A good 20 to 40 people show up and we have a blast!

♥ Books. I like learning fascinating things about humans. Sex at Dawn, Predictably Irrational, and The Moral Landscape for a sample. His Dark Materials is my all-time favorite fictional series.

♥ Movies. Sci-fi, fantasy, comedy, and documentaries are the yummiest. Anything by Studio Ghibli or Pixar. Booo to slow pretentious movies that give you too much time to think about how sophisticated your tastes in movies are.

♥ Internets. I religiously watch TED conference talks. Failblog is a tad hilarious. I relish feasting on perception altering statistics.

♥ Shows. Breaking Bad, Dexter, Weeds, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, The Office, Modern Family, Firefly, Futurama, Arrested Development, Coupling, Flight of the Conchords, Samurai Jack, Archer, Adventure Time, Bullshit, The Inbetweeners, How It Works, Planet Earth.

♥ Music. Oh Pandora, that's right, keep making sweet sweet love to my ears. Thumbs way up to music with a good running beat. Mostly thumbs down to country, rap, and very angry music.
