About Me

ABOUT ME

Hi, I am from Republic of Georgia. Right now I am in residency training in the hospital in upstate New York. I love traveling, meeting new people and sharing experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy traveling, meeting new people and making new friends, share experiences, learn and understanding the differences and similarities between different cultures. I have had multiple amazing hosts form CS during my previous visits in the US and I have an unforgettable memories from those times.

Interests

I love traveling. The first time it was in the USA when I was an exchange student back in 2011-2012 and I loved meeting new people all over the world. This doesn't happen so often because of my studies but hope to do so more in the future.

For the last 3 years I have dedicated my time to work and becoming a professional in my field. I love helping people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Because I am away from my country right now I mostly listen Georgian music. Other then Georgian I love Katie Melua. She is an amazing.

Movies: I usually fall asleep if I start watching movies. I have done so even in movie theater. But there was a time when I used to watch some TV Series.

Books: Medical books are more than enough so far.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being an exchange student in the USA. I met so many amazing people, made friends, studied at the community college, worked at the hospital during this ten months. And most importantly I have 'U.S. Mom' who was my host mom during this period. This visit was life changing, after that I decided to pursue my future medical training in the states.
(p.s. this is how my host Mom describes me (word by word): '' for unique characteristics I would say you are friendly, thoughtful, responsible, very hard working, creative, have a healthy curiosity about other cultures, an excellent cook! show persistence to attain your goals, loyal to friends and family, honest, trustworthy, extremely capable, mature, and also have a playful nature that is not always evident that takes delight in amusement parks and craft activities. You appear very serious but have a delightful sense of humor and compassion for everyone. I would add that you are very considerate and take exceptional care to attend to the wishes and needs of others. you are very respectful and hold yourself and your work and your education to the highest standards.'')

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Georgian language, Cooking, Can teach medicine: I used to teach biochemistry to 2nd year medical students in Georgia before coming to the USA.
Learn: From other people's stories, advises. Want to learn Spanish, anything new.
Share: Georgian culture, my stories and time with people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my stories, Georgian culture and recipes of Georgian dishes. We speak Georgian and have unique alphabet.
The following is the same in Georgian: ''მე შემიძლია გაგიზიაროთ ჩემი ისტორიები, ქართული კულტურა და რეცეპტები. ჩვენ ვსაუბრობთ ქართულად და გვაქვს უნიკალური ანბანი. ''
