About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enhance my own travel and understanding of other cultures, travel vicariously through other individuals and prove that most Americans are not jerks.

ABOUT ME

I am a workaholic that loves to travel. My brother forwarded me the link to this site, and I thought it was one of the best ideas I've ever heard. Aside from my own travel, I like nothing more than to help other people travel. It is such an adventure having to find your way around and getting lost, both figuratively and literally.

Anyway, I own a house here in Muskegon and it's open to people who would like to stay here. I am within a short bike ride to the beach on Lake Michigan. There are several interesting touristy things to do, but your best bet is to explore nature here.

I had the best time staying in flats in people's homes when my family went to the World Cup back in 2006. You really got to see the culture and what life is truly like.

PHILOSOPHY

Why would I want to eat liver? I don't even like liver.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had a couple of people stay so far, and so far all of my experiences have been good. I've had people stay with me, now I think I need to get my own travel on.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Other then staying in rented flats and hostels, not much. I love the concept of no charge. Especially since in this day and age it is so much easier to close yourself off to the neighbors and do your own thing, this is a refreshing concept.

Interests

I love bicycles and reading. Playing cards is also a good time. Euchre anyone?

Music, Movies, and Books

I love some Wu and Weird Al at the moment. I've also become quite a fan of Earwig. They are a indie band from Columbus, Ohio. They're pretty good, for a bunch of buckeyes. As far as reading goes, I like reading Hemingway and other classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to the World Cup in 2006. Unbelievable.

Teach, Learn, Share

I work with folks who have a mental illness or disability, so I have a great deal of patience and I consider myself to be an advocate for the cause.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
