ABOUT ME

This is confusing. I (Laura S.) opened this account and actively used it with my college roommate Laura A. We had some good times and hosted many a traveler. We have since parted ways. I am now shacking up with my boyfriend Ian D., and we are quite pleased to have recently moved to a HOUSE with an ACTUAL living room (as opposed to the horrible kitchen/living room/office/dining room that our old apt. offered).

So, I will now describe myself and Ian:

I moved from Iowa to Seattle for school and haven't left (yet). I now work at a non-profit. I dig the great outdoors, some daily jogs to my favorite elctro-punk band LCD Soundsystem, cooking/baking/eating, BEER. My travels have included Brazil for a summer and a month, New Zealand for a few weeks, France for a vacation, Spain for a school trip, various little islands for vacations, and all across the vast USA. I'm in desperate need of another serious travel adventure.

Ian Macklin Davidson grew up in the area. He loves music - playing it, listening to it, recording it, thinking about it, dreaming about it, making sweet love to it. He calls himself a "sociable audio gear-head/nerd." He's lived in hickburb WA, tiny-town Idaho, Chico CA and Seattle WA (obviously).

PHILOSOPHY

Gosh - We need to travel and see things and do things before we get old and have kids and can't anymore.

We would like to open our house to travelers. Sounds like fun.

ALSO we're going to Iceland this November (2012), and think it would be fun to couchsurf!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I (Laura S.) have hosted many a folk in my old apartment. This was when I was in college, so I was very free to spend my time galavanting about. My roommate (Laura A.) and I LOVED hosting people. We went to a baseball game, music festival, the local bar, drank lots of beverages, went on a small road trip to a friends cabin, played trivia, and really just yucked it up.

I have yet to actually surf myself, but I look forward to it - hopefully in Iceland!
