ABOUT ME

We are a married couple aged 32(Robert) and 29 (Katie.) We spent a year traveling around the world, Couchsurfing as much as we could and meeting many incredible people. Before that, we lived in Japan for three years, where we started hosting Couchsurfers. We are getting back into hosting now that we're settled in Virginia again.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted in Japan and surfed in NZ, Malaysia, China, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Czech Republic, Germany, France... sometimes we forget the things we see but we never forget the people we meet.

Katie loves cooking and making things from scratch. She can show you how to make your own cheese or Japanese pickles. She'd love to learn to cook all types of cuisine from around the world. Bob knows Spanish and can play the guitar, and would be happy to teach a few chords. Both of us can help beginning/ intermediate students of Japanese, or, of course, English language learners.
