My given name is Tra Giang, but I also go by Rosie Nguyen.

Currently living in Ithaca, NY, where I study Hotel Administration at Cornell.

Lived in Yen Bai, a mountainous town in northern Vietnam for 17 years before moving to the US.

Traveling has always been an important part of my life which has shaped me into who I am today.

I started to solo travel very early, with a whole summer alone in the UK in 2014 and Singapore in 2015. The year after that, I took a motorbike trip around more than 40 provinces of Vietnam at the age of 16. Later on, I also traveled to several countries in Asia and places around the US.

Back when I was in Vietnam, I helped my mom manage our family-run hotel and got to host many CouchSurfers, assisting them mostly with translation, vehicle reparation, health problems, travel recommendations, etc.

I was always willing to help out, hoping of being helped by other travelers and CouchSurfers on my future travels!
