I have a primary account with references and all. But I am locked out of it even though it displays to others due to "technical difficulties". This account is really just to use for seeking help getting support since nothing has been done. If the main one gets fixed this one will gladly be deleted as it is only temporary.

I can log into that account and I see the top bar with the drop-down menu for various things. But no matter what I do all I see in the main frame is an upside down couch and a message about technical difficulties with an email address.

I emailed a couple weeks ago and after a few days got a reply that they would look into it. Since then there has been no progress and no replies to follow up requests.

As far as I can tell others can see the profile but only references as though I blocked them. Even though I have not blocked anyone.

People can send messages or write references (although none are pending). But I cannot read or reply to those messages, nor would I be able to reply to anything posted as a reference.

Basically I have an account floating around that I have no control over, which is entirely unacceptable! I would disable it but I can't do that either since nothing ever appears in the main frame except the upside down couch.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well I do host sometimes, for many years and over 100 times. But right now I'm not really on couchsurfing since I just have an inaccessible profile.

It seems ironic that I just received an email from CS encouraging me to host!
