About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoy life, be productive, grow, be a great husband & dad

ABOUT ME

People are the most fascinating "things" on this Earth! I'm currently mostly a real estate investor, but also do (and occasionally teach) business strategy. I've traveled widely in the US and Europe, and trips as well to South America, Middle East, and Asia. I've been married since 1985 to a great wife and we have 5 wonderful kids.

PHILOSOPHY

I really enjoy getting to know people who are very different from me! Because I stayed with them for 2 nights each, I now have good friends in 4 cities in Europe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have met up with a surfer in Budapest for dinner, helped a Korean student find a couch in Lexington, stayed with a host in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and allowed a surfer to stay in a home I had listed for sale.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had wonderful stays with Servas hosts in Paris (2), Berlin, Hannover, Prague, and New York City. Enjoying dinner, drinks and conversation is a great way to grow, make a new friend, and have a wonderful time! Why leave it to chance encounters on a train when you can search CouchSurf for interesting people?

Interests

Personal growth, travel, investments, computers, sailing, basketball, wine.

Music, Movies, and Books

Classical & classic rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, shook both hands of Pope John Paul II, and taken my wife and kids to the Middle East, Europe (twice), Asia, and Mexico (twice).

Teach, Learn, Share

I have many life experiences I enjoy sharing, but I like even more listening to others' views and experiences.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Given the traveling I've done, the places I've lived in, the different employers for whom I've worked, and my many other life experiences, I have a lot to share, and a willingness to learn! In return for hosting, I'd be glad to take my host, and family if applicable, out for dinner and/or breakfast or lunch.
